Middleton, Wis. — The Des Moines Buccaneers (20-20-3-4) took a 1-0 victory over the Madison Capitols (26-18-0-3) Saturday night at Bob Suter's Legacy20 Arena Middleton. Ryan Seelinger scored the lone goal of the contest late in the third period to give Des Moines the 1-0 edge. Bucs goalie Alan Lendak (13-9-0-0) backstopped the win with his third career shutout, stopping all 33 Caps shots on goal. The Bucs look ahead to a 3-in-3 home stand next weekend, kicking off with a matchup against the Omaha Lancers Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:05 p.m. at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex.
After two scoreless periods, Bucs forward Ryan Seelinger scored the lone goal of the contest 16:14 into the final frame, picking up a pass from Owen Tylec and finding the Capitols' back door for his 27th goal of the season. Rhys Wallin also assisted on the goal that gave Des Moines the 1-0 win.
The Bucs look ahead to a 3-in-3 home weekend February 27 - March 1 at the MidAmerican Eenrgy Company RecPlex. Friday, February 27, the Bucs host the Omaha Lancers at 7:05 p.m. with 2-for-1 beer and Fireball Friday specials.
