Des Moines Buccaneers goaltender Ethan Dahlmeir has made his NCAA Division I commitment to NCAA Division I Miami University (Ohio).
Dahlmeir is a 2003-born goaltender from Lakeville, Minnesota. Dahlmeir is in his first season with the Buccaneers after playing in the North American Hockey League for the last two seasons, and is a graduate of Lakeville South, where he competed for their high school program.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Ethan that has been well earned," said Des Moines head coach and general manager Matt Curley.
"He has committed to getting better each and every day since joining our team and has enjoyed the success of his work both with our team's progress and his individual accomplishments. I am very happy for him and his family and look forward to seeing what he can do with the last half of his junior hockey career in preparation for Miami and the NCHC!"
Dahlmeir 8-8-0 on the season and has been in goal for 8 of Des Moines' 10 wins, posting a 2.93 GAA and .892 save percentage. Des Moines has allowed for the sixth least goals against in the USHL this season.
