Des Moines Buccaneers

Jake Francis joined the Des Moines Buccaneers during the 2023-24 season, the last season at Buccaneer Arena. He primarily served in a part-time role with ice maintenance and building operations. During the 2024-25 season, Jake took on a more active role with ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and game-day operations. In his first full season of sales with the Des Moines Buccaneers, he was nominated for a league award as a USHL Sales Rookie of the Year finalist. Late into the 2025-26 season, Jake was promoted to Sr. Director of Sales. That following offseason, he was promoted to Executive Director of Sales and Operations.

Serving in the community is very important to him. When he is not at work, Jake enjoys serving on the development committee with The Salvation Army of Des Moines and is a board member for the Gabe Fleming Memorial Hockey Scholarship Fund. Jake is also an Ambassador for the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and was selected into the WDM Chamber Leadership Academy as a member for the class of 2026-27. 

Jake is very proud of the rich history the Des Moines Buccaneers have cultivated over the years. His favorite memories have been driving the Zamboni at Buccaneer Arena and having the opportunity to serve the best fans in all of hockey.  Go Bucs!
