Bucs Welcome Connor Gagnon as Assistant General Manager

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — The Buccaneers are excited to announce the addition of Connor Gagnon to the hockey operations team as Assistant General Manager. Gagnon has been a Minnesota regional scout with the organization for the past year, and the Bucs are thrilled to expand his role with the team.

"Connor is someone I've known and worked closely with in numerous capacities for the last decade," said Addison DeBoer, General Manager and Vice President of Hockey Analytics. "Over the years he's brought immense value to our organization in a behind-the-scenes role, and I know that will only continue in this elevated position. He has a keen eye for talent, strong leadership skills, and is an excellent communicator who understands the goals we have here in Des Moines; building a consistent winner. Connor is a great addition to our group, and I'm excited to keep building with him in this new role."

Gagnon is a graduate of Spring Lake Park High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas. He is entering his 11th year coaching Minnesota high school hockey and his 3rd year as Head Coach for the Spring Lake Park/Coon Rapids High School cooperative. Prior to that, he served as both a head and assistant coach at Spring Lake Park High School for 8 years. In addition to his coaching role, Connor has been a scout in the Minnesota area for the past 5 years, with last year being his first as a Regional Scout with the Buccaneers. He currently works as a loan originator in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and resides in East Bethel, Minn., with his wife, Ali, and their two daughters.

"I am thrilled to step into this new role as Assistant General Manager with the Des Moines Buccaneers," Gagnon said. "I would like to thank Michael Devlin and our ownership group, along with General Manager Addison DeBoer, and President of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Derek Damon for entrusting me with this opportunity. The organization has taken great strides sinc DeBoer and Damon stepped into their current roles, and I am looking forward to helping them and the rest of the organization build on recent success."
