URBANDALE, Iowa -- The Des Moines Buccaneers have a busy weekend ahead and fans can enjoy Black Friday with the Blackout Game and pregame Blood Drive with LifeServe.

Friday night, the Buccaneers play host to the Lincoln Stars for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop at Buccaneer Arena. The team will wear Blackout Jerseys that will be auctioned after the game. Fans interested in bidding on the jerseys should report to Section 7 in the stands. 

Des Moines is just three points back of Lincoln which is tied with Waterloo for second place in the Western Conference. The last matchup between the Bucs and the Stars went down to the wire, as Des Moines and Lincoln were tied late in the third period on Nov. 12 at the IceBox in Lincoln, before the Stars took the late lead and capped the 4-2 win with an empty-net goal. That loss to Lincoln marks the only regulation loss in the last 6 games for the Buccaneers (3-1-0-2 in the last 6), which have played to four shootouts in the last five games, winning two of them.

Prior to Friday's game, our friends at LifeServe will be in the Buccaneers Lounge hosting a Blood Drive from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Fans who are able to donate blood during the drive will receive free admission to the Blackout Game that night, and a winter hat from LifeServe. Anyone wishing to donate blood can either Book an Appointment or walk-in on Friday (Nov. 25).

The Black Friday game is a Fareway Friday. Fans who bring a Fareway receipt to the box office will get BOGO (buy one get one) tickets. The Blackout Game is also 2-for-1 beer night, which will include domestic beer and seltzer tallboys.
